The biggest difference in UNC's most recent win was turnovers
The biggest difference in UNC's most recent win was turnovers. The defense forced Georgia Southern to turn the ball over six times, and the offense was able to capitalize for easy scores. The defense will need to find a way to force turnovers tonight against an FSU team that has one interception but has lost 11 this season.
MOVING THE CHAINS
The Heels put up 42 points the last time out against overmatched Georgia Southern but failed to score in the second half and got two touchdowns from the defense. They'll need to find a way to move the ball tonight, especially against the worst defense in the ACC, statistically speaking. The possible return of tight end Zack Pianalto, who was listed on the depth chart for the first time since his injury on Sept. 12, also could be a big boost.
NATIONAL STAGE
It's the first time UNC has hosted a Thursday night game and all eyes will be on Kenan Stadium for the only college football game on TV. The players said they are beyond excited for the game, and they love playing under the lights. History also is on the Tar Heels' side, as they are 4-2 overall on Thursday night.
