H1N1 flu vaccine available
HILLSBOROUGH -- People at elevated risk for complications from the flu will be able to receive free H1N1 vaccinations on Friday from the Orange County Health Department.
The walk-in clinics will begin at 1:30 p.m. at 300 W. Tryon Street, Hillsborough, and at 2501 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill. The immunizations will continue until the vaccine supplies are exhausted.
The following priority groups are the focus of the clinics:
* Pregnant women.
* People 6 months to 24 years of age.
* Those in close contact with children less than 6 months old.
* People 25-64 with conditions placing them at increased risk.
* Healthcare workers.
