Burr, Bowles featured at NCCU summit
DURHAM -- UNC system President Erskine Bowles and U.S. Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., are jointly hosting an economic summit on Monday at N.C. Central University
Summit panelists will examine the role of North Carolina's educational system in economic and workforce development.
Speakers will include Burr, Bowles, Scott Ralls, president of the North Carolina Community College System, and Jim Goodnight, founder and CEO of SAS.
Attendees can learn about what N.C. community colleges and universities can offer industry.
The summit is scheduled to take place in the H.M. Michaux, Jr. School of Education building auditorium at Alston and Cecil Streets at 9:30 a.m.
