Creedmoor -- South Granville's Ian Bosley eclipsed the 5,000 career rushing yard mark and moved to 31st on the NCHSAA's all-time leading rusher list as he ran for 257 yards in a win over Carrboro on Friday. Bosley, who is a senior, has now run for 5,218 yards in his career. He also had two touchdown runs, one for 58 yards, in the win over the Jaguars.
South Granville quarterback Tony Byrd added 56 yards on the ground and his three completed passes were for touchdowns, which gave the Vikings a 21-0 lead midway through the second quarter. Cedric Cash caught two of Byrd's passes for touchdowns of 57 and 49 yards.

Riverside led 24-7 at the start of the fourth quarter but Northern scored three touchdowns during that period to cut the lead to 31-28 with 42 seconds left.
