Maggie Leanne Smoak and Kyle Alan Glenn were married at four o'clock Saturday, September 12, 2009 at First Baptist Church, Butner. Pastor Lenny Rogers officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar G. Smoak of Butner. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Hazel S. Long and the late H. Curtis Long of Roxboro and the late Edgar L. and Mary P. Smoak of Butner.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Glenn Jr. of Stem. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Fisher of Durham and Mr. and Mrs. John Glenn of Creedmoor.
The matron of honor was Heather Combs. Other bridal attendants were Alison Bradley, Megan Brown, Mary Kathryn Cook, Jennifer Glenn, Abby Neil, Melanie Peed, Megan Smith and Stephanie Walker.
The groom's father was best man. Groomsmen were Christopher Gann, Brandon Glenn, Daniel Oswald, Thomas Peed, Kevin Smoak, Nick Russ, Brian Taylor, and Richard Williamson. Flower girl was Cameron Balderson and ring bearer was Christopher Balderson. A reception was held at the Homestead Festival House.
The bride graduated from UNC-Wilmington with a degree in Business Administration. The bridegroom graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Distribution and Logistics. He is employed by Womack Electric.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. They reside in Danville, Virginia.
