Edward J. Haugstatter and Muriel Haugstatter of Chapel Hill celebrated their 60th anniversary with a luncheon at the Siena Hotel in Chapel Hill hosted by their daughters. Those in attendance included daughters, Mary Crane and husband, Bob, Terry Dominguez and husband, Jose, Helen Buckley and husband, Brian, all of Chapel Hill; grandchilden, James Crane and Bobby Crane of Chapel Hill and Kyle Crane of Miami Beach, Florida; Kelly Dominguez and Matthew Dominguez and Christopher Buckley and Sara Buckley, all of Chapel Hill.

The Haugstatters were married on October 2, 1949 in Brooklyn, New York.
