Man facing several charges
DURHAM -- Police, sheriff's deputies and the U.S. Marshal's Office on Tuesday arrested Robert Ray Davis, who was wanted on five counts of felony breaking and entering, four counts of felony larceny and failure to make child support payments, according to police.
He remained in the Durham County Jail Friday under a bond of $76,500.
Offender faces new charge
DURHAM -- Michael Devon Stanback, a repeat offender, was arrested Wednesday and charged with assault on a female, according to Capt. Larry C. Smith of the Durham Police Department.
He was in the Durham County Jail Friday under a $2,500 bond.
Stanback had been arrested Sept. 22 and charged with assault on a female. He was on probation when he was arrested Wednesday.
Jewelry box, camera taken
DURHAM -- A digital camera and jewelry box were among items stolen in recent thefts police are investigating. Here are the details:
- Burglars hit a home in the 100 block of East Club Boulevard Tuesday. They stole a digital camera, iPod, jewelry box, two gold chains and diamond earrings worth $1,100.
- A television, Xbox video game console and a jewelry box valued at $2,850 were stolen from a home in the 2100 block of Peppertree Street Tuesday.
- A home in the 300 block of Monk Road was broken into Wednesday and a computer, LCD television and computer monitor worth $2,100 were stolen.
- Thieves took an LCD television, a 47-inch flatscreen television and a laptop computer valued at $2,250 from a home in the 3600 block of Thornwood Drive Wednesday.
