CHAPEL HILL -- Dog Gone Fun: Kids in the Kitchen Workshop is billed as serious fun with food by the folks at Kidzu Museum, 105 E. Franklin St., where the program will be held from 3:30-4:30 p.m. today.
Kids will make homemade dog biscuits and decorate doggie bags for the Orange County Animal Services Center. Special guest Sarah Fallin, ASC program coordinator, will share fun animal stories. Registration is required and limited.

OWASA board cancels meeting
CARRBORO -- The OWASA Board of Directors' meeting for Oct. 8 has been canceled. The next regularly scheduled OWASA board meeting will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 22, at Chapel Hill Town Hall located at 405 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Chapel Hill.
