DURHAM — Police are asking for information about an armed robbery of a pizza deliveryman that occurred last week on Fargo Street.
A Domino’s pizza deliveryman went to a house in the 800 block of Fargo Street to make a delivery around 11 p.m. Sept. 21. Two men wearing hoodies approached him, hit him on the head with a large piece of wood and stole pizzas and chicken wings from him.
The deliveryman suffered head and eye injuries and was treated by EMS.
One suspect is described as a young black man, 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 5 inches tall with a small build and a two-inch mini-Afro hairstyle. The second suspect is described as a young black male, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall and 130 to 135 pounds. He had short hair.
One suspect was wearing a black hoodie and the other suspect was wearing a red-and-white striped hoodie.

Police try to ID suspect
DURHAM — Police are trying to identify a man who allegedly grabbed a woman from behind in the 300 block of West Main Street last week.
The woman was entering a business around 9:15 a.m. Sept. 22 when the man grabbed her and then fled.
The suspect was described as a black man in his 30s, 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall and 165 to 180 pounds. He had short facial hair (stubble) and was wearing a black do-rag, a green plaid long-sleeved flannel shirt and blue jeans.

Man critical after crash
DURHAM — A Chapel Hill man who is a Duke University employee remains in critical condition after crashing his moped into the iron gate on Duke’s Union Drive.
According to campus police, Saber Benson, 26, of Chapel Hill, sustained life-threatening injuries as he was trying to pass through the gate as it was closing Saturday night at 11:45 p.m.
Benson, who works at The Loop Pizza Grill in Duke’s West Union building, was taken to Duke University Hospital where he was being treated Monday.
Police said they found alcohol at the crash scene and are trying to determine if it was involved in the crash. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Duke police at 684-2444.
Man wanted in break-in charges
DURHAM — Police are trying to locate Abdul-Hassan Jamal Hoff who is wanted on fraud and vehicle break-in charges.
Hoff, 29, of Archdale Drive is charged with breaking into one vehicle on Archdale Drive in July and two vehicles on Orchard Oriole Lane in August and stealing numerous items. He is also charged with pawning stolen items. He is facing three counts of breaking and entering to a motor vehicle and three counts of obtaining property by false pretense.

TV, girdle among recent thefts
DURHAM — A plasma television, laptop computer and girdle were among items stolen in recent thefts police are investigating. Here are details:
- Burglars hit a home in the 500 block of Hardee Street Thursday and took a 45-inch plasma television valued at $500.
- An HP laptop computer valued at $1,000 was stolen from a home in the 100 block of North Goley Street Thursday.
- A shoplifter took a girdle, eyedrops and deodorant from a Wal-Mart store on Glenn School Road Thursday.
