I am writing to enthusiastically endorse Mark Kleinschmidt for mayor of Chapel Hill.
I've known Mark for many years, since he was my neighbor back in the mid-1990s. However, more recently, I served on a town commission for which Mark was the council liaison.
As a member of the executive committee, I had the opportunity to work with Mark in an official capacity. Not only was Mark truly engaged in the work of the commission, but he also actively worked with commission members to ensure that the work of the commission was representative of the town's priorities and those of its citizens. Mark clearly understood the commission and the council were a voice for the citizens of Chapel Hill.
We are lucky to have someone with Mark's experience, qualifications and progressive outlook willing to serve as mayor of Chapel Hill. I hope that you will join me and support him with your vote on Election Day.
