Duke postgame report
Todd Reesing, Kansas quarterback
Duke's pass rush appeared to get to Reesing often, but Reesing refused to let the pressure get to him. Spending much of his afternoon out of the pocket, Reesing threw for 338 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 51 yards.
PLAY OF THE GAME
Duke trailed 20-7 early in the second half when Kansas defensive end Maxwell Onyebule picked off a pass and rumbled 48 yards to signal the beginning of the end for the Blue Devils.
STAT OF THE GAME
Duke's four starters in the secondary, led by cornerback Lee Butler with 10 tackles, all ranked among the team's top five tacklers.
WHAT THE LOSS MEANS
The expected happened Saturday, but the unexpected loss in the opener to Richmond means the best Duke can do in nonconference play is 2-2, with N.C. Central set to visit Wallace Wade Stadium on Saturday at 7 p.m.
