United Way flavored ice cream a hit

ORANGE COUNTY – Ice cream lovers and United Way supporters descended upon Maple View Farm in Orange County for a delectable treat Tuesday: a dip of United Way Ice Cream!

Cherry chocolate chip ice cream was named “United Way” flavor Tuesday at the Maple View Farm Country Store for the ice cream social.

Free scoops were given to attendees of all ages. More than 75 people enjoyed the treat.

The ice cream social was one of eight events during the two weeks of United Way of the Greater Triangle’s season of kick offs. Events are being held in all four counties served by UWGT: Durham, Johnston, Orange and Wake.
