Join trumpeter Jim Ketch, along with Chad Eby (tenor sax), Stephen Anderson (piano), Steve Haines (bass) and Thomas Taylor (drums) for an evening of jazz that also celebrates news and upcoming releases by band members. The band will play two sets today at 7:30 p.m. at the West End Wine Bar, 450 W. Franklin St., Chapel Hill. Copies of CDs by Ketch (“Next Set”), Anderson (“Forget Not & Nation Degeneration”), Haines (“Stickadiboom) and Eby (“Broken Shadows”) will be available for purchase. There is no cover charge for this concert. The evening will be hosted by B.H. Hudson and WNCU (90.7 FM) and in lieu of a cover charge, the band would encourage patrons to consider making a pledge to support jazz public radio and WNCU.
