The purposes of this event will be to support health initiatives, to make residents more aware of community health resources, and to provide educational information about health. Among the sponsors that will be providing information are: Orange County Health Department, Orange County Sheriff’s Department, Department of Aging, Orange County Rape Crisis Center, UNC Trauma Intervention Program, UNC Hospitals, American Red Cross, UNC Athletic Department and Project SAFE.
Additionally, the UNC Air Care Unit will be flying in a helicopter, and the Orange County and South Orange County rescue squads will be bringing ambulances and performing blood pressure checks. There will be games, prizes, entertainment, and other fun activities, as well as nutritional and safety information for everyone. Food will be provided by the Abundant Life Church as well as Weaver Street Market. This event is free and open to all ages.
