Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth K. and May P. Carpenter, of Brookshire Nursing Center, Hillsborough, celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on Saturday, August 22, 2009 with a party in Durham. The party was given by their son, Kent Carpenter and his wife, Vickie. The couple has three children, Marcia, Ed, and Kent, and four grandchildren. The two were married August 22, 1942.
