'Rib Fest Cook Off' Saturday

The Durham Regent retirement community is hosting a "Rib Fest Cook-Off" in celebration of National Grandparents' Day Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. The event will feature live entertainment, face painting, a clown, door prizes with a few of the door prizes being an autographed Dean Smith Basketball, and much more.

There will also be a raffle for an autographed football signed by the Tar Heel football team. This event is open to the public and admission is a donation of a canned food item to benefit the Salvation Army Food Bank and a bottle of water to benefit the American Red Cross.
