Spartacus Restaurant is holding its annual anniversary celebration. This year, they're upping the drool-worthiness of their menu by featuring drink specials and "16 favorite dishes from the past 16 years."
There will also be live music from J.T. Parrothead starting around 6 p.m. and prize giveaways.
The event will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The restaurant, at 4139 Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd., has seen many changes in the South Square area since it opened.
To show loyalty to their customers, said owners John Drury and Nondas Kalfas, they're giving everyone attending the celebration a $10 gift certificate.

Genesis Home's 20th Anniversary is coming up about a month from now on Sept. 26.
The event, called "The Path Home," will be be held at Bay 7 in American Tobacco and be catered by Pop's and Rue Cler. The entertainment will be provided by Stella.

'Tis the season for anniversaries: Another anniversary is on the calendar for the next month.
Wine Authorities, the popular wine store in Rockwood shopping center, is turning two on Sept. 10.
The bash will be 5-7 p.m. Free bubblies will flow. Samples from Artisan Cupcake, Alessandra Trompeo's cheese, Counter Culture coffee and Dolly Mama chocolates will be provided. And if revelers need something more substantial to go with the wine, the Only Burger truck will be there again.
The burger truck debuted last year at Wine Authorities first birthday celebration.
