NC road crews to suspend most work for holiday

Most road construction projects are being suspended around North Carolina during the Labor Day holiday weekend. The state Department of Transportation said the suspension will start at 4 p.m. Friday and continue until 9 a.m. Tuesday to ease congestion and improve safety. The suspension includes most U.S. highways and interstates.
