DA’s Dekker wins TISAC title for 4th straight time

CARY — Durham Academy’s Eliza Dekker was the individual champion for the fourth consecutive year at the Triangle Independent Schools Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary Thursday.

Dekker beat runner-up Maddy Ringenbach of team champion Ravenscroft by by 35 seconds in 18:20.

In the team competition, it was Ravenscroft 29, Cary Academy 44 and Durham Academy third at 98.


Cary Academy wins 4th straight TISAC title

CARY — Cary Academy downed North Raleigh Christian Academy 27-44 to win its fourth straight Triangle Independent Schools Athletic Conference Cross Country title in a meet at WakeMed Soccer Park here Thursday.

Durham Academy was third with 76 points.

Ryan Speer of NRCA took first place in 15:48.

Jordan Pierce was Durham Academy’s top performer, finishing eighth in 17:36.


North Raleigh Christian 3, Durham Academy 0

DURHAM — North Raleigh Christian Academy defeated host Durham Academy 25-20, 25-18, 26-24 in a semifinal of the Triangle Independent Schools Athletic Conference tournament to advance to today’s finals.
