GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Northwood 59, Durham School of the Arts 33

PITTSBORO — Northwood (18-4, 13-1 C-12) remained in the hunt for the regular-season Carolina 12 1-A/2-A Conference title with its win over Durham School of the Arts.
Shontai Totten (15 points) and Alexis Brower (13) led the way for the Chargers.
DSA dropped to 8-8 overall and 5-8 C-12 with the loss, despite 15 points, eight rebounds, two steals and two blocks by Ariel Wilson. All Wilson’s numbers were either team highs or tied for team highs.

Carolina Friends School 47, Burlington Christian Academy 33
DURHAM — Carolina Friends School (16-7, 7-1) completed its regular season in second place in the Triad Athletic Conference after downing Burlington Christian Academy Friday.
CFS’ only TAC loss was at league regular-season champion Caldwell Academy (17-10, 11-0).
Lydia Youngblood led CFS with 23 points and 12 rebounds.
CFS will open the TAC Tournament at home Tuesday night against the league’s No. 7 seed. The semifinals and finals of the conference tournament will be held at Burlington Christian Academy Thursday and Friday.

Cresset Christian Academy 51, Northwood Temple Academy 24
FAYETTEVILLE — Sisters Melissa (15) and Maredith (10) Devlin combined for 25 points and Maggie Addison chipped in 11 and a game-high eight rebounds for visiting Cresset Christian Academy.
