Durham Bulls announce 2015 DBAP schedule
The Governors’ Cup Champion Durham Bulls on Wednesday announced their home schedule for the 2015 International League season.
After opening the season on the road, the Bulls kick off their 72-game home slate on Wednesday, April 15 against the Norfolk Tides. The regular season concludes at home on Monday, September 7.
The Bulls will once again host a home game on the Fourth of July, when the division rival Tides visit the DBAP for the team’s annual Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza. Other holiday home games include Memorial Day (May 25), Father’s Day (June 21), and Labor Day (September 7).
The Pawtucket Red Sox, Triple-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, return to Durham for a weekend series July 16-19, while the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (New York Yankees) visit May 14-17.
The 2015 home schedule features 11 Friday dates, 12 Saturdays and 12 Sundays.
Beginning in 2015, the ACC Baseball Championship will call Downtown Durham home for three consecutive years. While the Bulls travel on a seven-game road trip, pool play for the 2015 ACC Baseball Championship begins at the DBAP on Tuesday, May 19 and culminates with the Conference’s Championship Game on Sunday, May 24.
Tickets for the eight remaining regular season home games and the 2014 Governors’ Cup Playoffs are available online at durhambulls.com, by phone at 919.956.BULL, or in person at the DBAP ticket office. Season ticket and mini plan packages for the 2015 season are also on sale now.
NOTE: The Bulls currently lead Norfolk by seven games in the International League South division and their magic number for clinching a playoff berth is eight. Any combination of Durham wins and Norfolk losses totaling eight clinches the playoff berth.
