Jordan’s Greene getting rebounds, scholarship offers
PAC-6 player of the year Salita Greene, a junior forward at Jordan, is attracting the attention of college coaches, Jordan coach Ty Cox said.
At least 10 Division I school have offered scholarships to Greene, Cox said.
“Salita is a gifted shot blocker (who) finishes well on the offensive end,” Cox said. “She is a very special rebounder and can put the ball on the floor also. She is a double-double machine.”
Greene this past season averaged 16 points, 14 rebounds, 3 steals and 4 blocks, Cox said. She scored in double figures in 20 of 26 games and had 10 or more rebounds in 22 of 26 games, he said.
That 3.5 grade-point average Greene has is pretty attractive, too.
Jordan went 16-10 this past season, finishing second in the PAC-6.
The Falcons were bumped from the second round of the 4-A playoffs by Southeast Raleigh, the state runner-up.
