COLUMBIA, S.C. — Poor shooting, particularly by star Isaiah Hicks, helped the Shiloh Generals to a second-round win in the Chick-fil-A Invitational holiday tournament at Richland Northeast High School here Friday night.
Hicks, the 6-foot-9 UNC signee, had a big night overall, particularly since he was playing against one of the top juniors in the country in 7-1 Trayvon Reed.
Hicks finished with 23 rebounds, nine of them on the offensive glass, and blocked nine shots — both game highs — but managed just 15 points on 4-of-14 shooting.
Reed finished with eight points, 10 rebounds and three blocks.
Another key to the game was turnovers. Webb (9-1) turned it over 22 times, including six by guard Mitron Terry and four apiece by Hicks, Tyrek Beverly and Stefan Cates.
Terry led the Warriors with 18 points.
