GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Cresset Christian 47, Lee Christian 38

DURHAM — Maggie Addison and Melissa Devlin posted 15 points each to lead Cresset Christian to a 47-38 win over Lee Christian in girls’ basketball action Friday.
Maredith Devlin chipped in 13 points for Cresset (6-4, 5-0 Carolina Christian Conference), which rallied for a 22-9 run in the fourth quarter to pull out the victory.

Trinity School of Durham & Chapel Hill 41, Westchester Country Day 39
HIGH POINT — Kellie Schaefer had team highs of 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Trinity School of Durham & Chapel Hill past Westchester Country Day.
Victoria James had 13 points for Trinity, which improved to 6-4 and 3-0 in the Triad Athletic Conference. Westchester dropepd to 3-8, 0-3 TAC.

Durham Academy 48, Voyager Academy 14
DURHAM — Amanda Lawrence had game highs of 14 points and 22 rebounds to lead Durham Academy to an easy win on Voyager Academy’s home court.
Liz Roberts had 13 points and Lily Ronco 10 rebounds for DA (10-5). Voyager dropped to 2-11.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

River Mill 48, N.C. Science & Math 45

GRAHAM — Joseph Chukwu posted 26 points and Michael Kearney added 16 for the N.C. School of Science and Math, but River Mill Academy used balanced scoring to take a 48-45 victory in Carolina 12 boys’ basketball Friday.
NCSSM (1-7, 1-6 Carolina 12) rallied with a 15-9 scoring advantage in the fourth quarter but came up short. Jon Adams finished with 13 points and William Curasi had 10 for River Mill.

Durham Academy 65, Voyager Academy 59
DURHAM — Alston Thompson fired in 32 points to lead Durham Academy to a 65-59 win over Voyager Academy.
The Cavaliers (14-5) trailed 21-20 at halftime but scored 45 points after intermission to pull away.
Charlie Stone had 14 points and Jay Huff 11 for Voyager.

Cresset Christian 66, Lee Christian 38
DURHAM — Shawn Lipscomb fired in 30 points including a pair of 3-pointers to lead Cresset to a 66-38 victory over Lee Christian in Carolina Christian Conference boys’ basketball action Friday.
Tristen Reece, who also had two 3-pointers, added 10 points for Cresset (7-7, 3-3 Carolina Christian Conf.).
