ODU puts away Lady Eagles

N.C. Central senior Chasidy Williams earned her first double-double of the season, but the Lady Eagles were no match for Old Dominion in a 59-33 loss Friday night at the Ted Constant Center.
Williams posted 17 points and pulled down 11 rebounds while forcing seven ODU turnovers.
Junior Tiffany Gary also contributed offensively and on the boards for NCCU, scoring eight points and grabbing nine boards.
The Lady Eagles struggled offensively for much of the first half, trailing 27-15 at halftime.
ODU started off the second half on a 15-4 run, jumping ahead by 22 with 14:14 left and eventually leading by 28.
As a team, NCCU shot 25 percent (9-of-36) from the field.
ODU senior Jackie Cook led all scorers with 18 points.
The Lady Eagles travel to Chapel Hill on Wednesday for an 11 a.m. tipoff against North Carolina at Carmichael Arena.
