Game 2 of Orange High School's scheduled best-of-three state 2-A semifinal baseball playoff series at Greenville's D.H. Conley High School tonight (Friday, May 24) has been postponed because of rain.

Orange lost the series opener at home Thursday night.

Game 2 has been rescheduled and will be played at Conley Saturday at 1 p.m. Game 3, if necessary, will also be played at Conley and will follow the completion of Game 2 at 4 p.m.

Earlier Friday, Voyager Academy announced it had changed the venue of tonight's (Friday, May 24) state 1-A semifinal baseball playoff game to Midway High School in Dunn.

The opening game of the best-of-three East Regional championship series between Midway and Voyager had been scheduled for Southern High School at 7 p.m. tonight, but poor field conditions caused by overnight rains forced school athletic officials to move the game. Game time remains 7 p.m.

Because of the move, Saturday's Game 2 will be played at Southern High School at 7 p.m., as will Monday's potentially decisive Game 3 (if necessary).
