DURHAM — Bub Deluca ripped a bases-loaded single in the bottom of the seventh to break a tie and give Jordan a 6-5 victory over Raleigh Broughton in baseball action Monday.
Broughton reliever Austin Walker, who came on in the sixth inning, walked the first three batters he faced in the seventh to load the bases and set up Deluca’s game winner. Deluca finished with a pair of hits and also scored a run for the Pirates (2-0).
Blake Morgan led Riverside with three hits including a double and drove in three runs.

DURHAM — N.C. School of Science and Math took a pair of doubles wins on its way to a 6-3 victory over Cedar Ridge in Carolina 12 boys’ tennis action Monday.
Danny Oh won at No. 2 singles for NCSSM (1-0, 1-0 Carolina 12) and paired with Eric Wang to claim the third singles flight win over Brandon Phares and Trevor Phares 10-4.
