PAC-6 tourney tips off
The PAC-6 Tournament begins tonight with quarterfinals in both boys’ and girls’ basketball. Regular-season champions Jordan (boys) and Southern (girls) have byes into the semifinals.
The top four finishers in the regular season in both boys and girls basketball will qualify automatically for the state 4-A playoffs barring a surprise championship run by a No. 5-7 seed this week.
If a No. 5-7 team wins either tournament, it automatically earns the PAC-6 No. 2 seed and bumps the regular-season No. 4 team from the state playoffs.
Tonight’s schedule can be found in Scoreboard on page B2.
