WAKE FOREST — Chad Sykes struck out 12 batters and scattered three hits, but it took a two-out single by Jake Olimpo in the seventh inning to give Voyager Academy a 1-0 win over Franklin Academy in Carolina 12 baseball action Tuesday night.
Loy Stone singled with one out in the seventh for Voyager (8-4, 4-2 Carolina 12), stole second and went to third when the throw sailed into the outfield. Olimpo singled to right to drive in the game’s only run.

ECH 12, Hillside 0
DURHAM — Sean Moore went 3-for-3 and drove in a pair of runs to lead East Chapel Hill to a 12-0 victory over Hillside in PAC-6 baseball.
John Blue threw a two-hitter to pick up the win for the Wildcats.
Ian Breakfield and Connor Stough added two hits for ECH, while Jamari Burk had a solo homer.

Riverside 4, Person 2
ROXBORO — Cameron Snow gave up four hits and notched eight strikeouts to lead Riverside to a 4-2 win over Roxboro Person in PAC-6 baseball.
Bub Deluca went 2-for-3 including a two-run double in the second to lead the Pirates, while Jake Kusz drove in the other two runs.
Person’s Austin Cole ripped a two run double in the first, but Snow shut out the Rockets the rest of the way.

Trinity 11, CFS 1
DURHAM — Perry Dickson and Mikael Koeneke had a pair of hits each to lead Trinity School of Durham and Chapel Hill to an 11-1 win over Carolina Friends School in baseball Tuesday.
Koeneke and Tyler Eckstein scored three runs each, while Dickson, Todd Echstenkamper and Alex Gould crossed the plate twice for Trinity.

NCSSM 5, Roxboro Comm. 4
DURHAM — Nicole Ward ripped three hits including a double and triple to lead N.C School of Science and Math to a 5-4 win over Roxboro Community School in Carolina 12 softball action Tuesday.
Ward scored twice and drove in a pair of runs for the Unicorns (6-5, 5-3 Carolina 12), while Erin Mayo added a pair of hits.
Pitchers Chelsea Cronin and Corey Locklear combined for the win.

Orange 8, S. Vance 4
HENDERSON — Kyrbee Cheek struck out seven and scattered 9 hits to lead Orange to an 8-4 win over Southern Vance in Carolina 12 softball Tuesday.
Mackenzie Cates had three hits and Rachel Peel added two for the Panthers (8-0, 3-0 Carolina 6), while Kaneisha Pettiford had a homer for Orange.

Northern 20, Southern 0
DURHAM — Stacey Price had a pair of hits and Libby Cheek scored four times for Northern on the way to a 20-0 win over Southern in PAC-6 softball action.

ECH 9, Northern 0
CHAPEL HILL — Max Smith struggled at No. 1 singles before leading East Chapel Hill to a 9-0 sweep of Northern in PAC-6 boys’ tennis Tuesday.
Smith beat David Senerchia 7-5, 6-2 in the tightest singles match of the day, then teammed with Connor Lutz for an 8-5 win over Senerchia and Dillon Leovic in doubles.

Cedar Ridge 9, Raleigh Charter 0
HILLSBOROUGH — Zac Marion didn’t lose a game in singles or doubles Tuesday in leading Cedar Ridge to a 9-0 win over Raleigh Charter in Carolina 12 boys’ tennis action.
Marion beat Neerej Suresh 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 1 singles match, then teammed with Erik Lutz for a shutout in the top doubles flight. Lutz beat Jimmy Sims 6-0, 6-1 in the second singles flight for the Red Wolves (12-1, 10-1 Carolina 12).

Durham Academy 9, Ravenscroft 0
RALEIGH — Justin Warren and Sam Lane rolled to a pair of victory to lead Durham Academy to a 9-0 win over Ravenscroft in boys’ tennis action.
Warren beat Will Jones 6-4, 6-1, then paired with Lane for an 8-2 win over Jones and Jack Phillips at No. 1 doubles for the Cavaliers (7-0). Lane beat Phillips 6-3, 6-0 in the No. 2 singles match.

DA 19, Bishop McGuiness 3

DURHAM — Elizabeth Eason and Jordan Barry netted four goals each and Madison Dunk had three goals and five assists as Durham Academy pounded Bishop McGuiness 19-3 in girls’ lacrosse action Tuesday.
Chloe Lewis and Naomi Lerner added two goals each for the Cavaliers, while Leander Perun, Hannah Pope, Emma Eason and Robin Blazing also scored.

PAC-6 Match

DURHAM — Northern’s Michael Wicker took the individual honors, but Riverside used team balance to claim the title at a PAC-6 golf match Tuesday at Willowhaven Country Club.
Wicker posted a 35 over the nine holes played, while Riverside’s Newt Barringer followed with a 36 and East Chapel Hill’s Ben Griffen had a 37.
Riverside finished with 153 strokes, followed by ECH at 157, Northern 162, Jordan 190, Person 196, Southern 207 and Hillside 211.

DA 4, Ravenscroft 1

DURHAM — Lakin Barry, Delaney Herdon, Dana Rowe and Emma Myers scored goals to give Durham Academy a 4-1 win over Ravenscroft in girls’ soccer action.
