Jordan 4, Broughton 0


DURHAM — Homestanding Jordan shut out Raleigh Broughton Wednesday night behind two Austin Rochelle goals.

Huntley Munn scored the game winner in the first half and Danny Potts joined Rochelle in hitting the net in the second half.

Henry Hannapel assisted on three of the goals and Munn on the other.

Jordan, which lost its season opener to Holly Springs 1-0 on Monday, improves to 1-1.
 

VOLLEYBALL

Cary Academy 3, Durham Academy 1


DURHAM — Visiting Cary Academy downed Durham Academy 27-25, 17-25, 25-15, 25-18 in its Triangle Independent Schools Athletic Conference opener Wednesday despite a big night by DA’s Dana Williams.

Williams had 10 blocks, seven kills and five digs as the Cavaliers dropped to 1-1 overall and in the TISAC standings.
