PITTSBORO — Northwood remained unbeaten in Carolina 12 1-A/2-A Conference behind tough defense and double figure scorers Jasmine Atkins (13) and Shontai Totten (12).
The Chargers (8-3, 4-0 Carolina 12) handed Cedar Ridge (6-6, 4-1) its first conference loss of the season. Delaney King led the Red Wolves with nine points. Chelsea Hill and Kacia Vines had six apiece.

Carolina Friends 45, Lighthouse 6
DURHAM — Lydia Youngblood fired in 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Carolina Friends School to a 45-6 win over Lighthouse Christian Home School in girls’ basketball action Friday.
Lighthouse (3-7) posted all of its points in the second quarter, while Carolina Friends (7-5) held a 31-0 scoring advantage in the second half.

Trinity 39, Westchester 33
DURHAM — Kellie Schaefer posted 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Trinity School of Durham and Chapel Hill to a 39-33 win over Westchester in girls’ basketball action Friday.
Trinity (5-3, 2-0 TAC) trailed 14-12 at halftime but used a 20-5 scoring run in the third quarter to pull away, then withstood a 14-7 spurt by Westchester in the final period to preserve the win.
