GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
DSA 55, South Granville 46

DURHAM — Ariel Wilson fired in 25 points to lead Durham School of the Arts to a 55-46 victory over South Granville in Carolina 12 girls’ basketball Friday night.
The Bulldogs (8-5, 5-5 Carolina 12) jumped out to a 31-20 lead at halftime and maintained the advantage the rest of the way.
Wilson led DSA with seven rebounds, while Jaida Henderson added six.

Cedar Ridge 49, Carrboro 43
HILLSBOROUGH — Kyley Clark posted 22 points to help Cedar Ridge rally to a 49-43 victory over Carrboro in Carolina 12 girls’ basketball.
Kacia Vines added 12 points for the Red Wolves.
Diamond Tyson paced Carrboro, which held a 30-17 lead at halftime, with 20 points. Camille Gallagher added 10 for the Jaguars.

Cresset 54, Neuse Christian 31
RALEIGH — Maggie Addison and Melissa Devlin scored 15 points each to lead Cresset to a 54-31 win over Neuse Christian in Carolina Christian Conference girls’ basketball.
Maredith Devlin and Stephanie Hardy added nine points each for Cresset (11-6, 10-1).

Trinity 59, BCA 45
DURHAM — Victoria James and Kellie Schaefer posted 17 points each to lead Trinity School of Durham and Chapel Hill to a 59-45 win over Burlington Christian Academy in girls’ basketball action Friday.
Abby Turner added 13 points for Trinity (10-5, 6-1 TAC), while James pulled down 11 rebounds and Schaefer eight.
Trinity trailed by four heading after three quarters but outscored BCA 31-13 in the final period.


BOYS’ BASKETBALL
Carrboro 64, Cedar Ridge 48

HILLSBOROUGH — James Scott posted 16 points and McLean Phipps 15 to lead Carrboro to a 64-48 win over Cedar Ridge in boys’ basketball action Friday.
Trai Sharp added 13 points for Carrboro (15-3, 11-0), while Marlin Johnson had 11.

Northwood 63, Granville Central 51
STEM — Ti Pinnex paced a balanced Northwood offense with 12 points, as the Chargers jumped ahead early and held on for a 63-51 win over Granville Central in Carolina 12 boys’ basketball.
Aumad Walker chipped in 10 for Northwood, which led 37-17 at halftime.
Nyquan Wortham posted 16 points and Jeremiah Green added 11 for Granville Central (7-12, 3-8 Carolina 12).

NCSSM 43, Voyager 41
DURHAM — Joseph Chukwu fired in 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead N.C. School of Science and Math to a 43-41 win over Voyager Academy in Carolina 12 action.
Colty Faucette led Voyager with 11 points.

CFS 63, Elon School 61
ELON — Asante Monadjemi fired in 17 points and Josh Boone added 15 to lead Carolina Friends School to a 63-61 win over The Elon School in boys’ basketball.
Esten Fabec chipped in 14 for Carolina Friends (12-11, 6-2), which held on for the win after leading 31-26 at halftime.

BCA 64, Trinity 37
DURHAM — Burlington Christian Academy had three players in double figures to pull away from Trinity School of Durham and Chapel Hill for a 64-37 victory in boys’ basketball Friday.
Paul Dunlap scored 13 points to lead Trinity (4-15, 1-7).
Jamison Jeffers led BCA with 17 points, followed by Josh Folwell with 16 and Romeao Ferguson with 15.

Ravenscroft 54, DA 27
DURHAM — Chris Corchiani fired in 18 points to lead Ravenscroft to a 54-27 win over Durham Academy in TISAC boys’ basketball.
Alston Thompson led Durham Academy (19-7, 3-3 TISAC) with 13 points.
Marcus Brown added 10 point for the Ravens (15-9, 6-0).

Neuse 111, Cresset 68
RALEIGH — Shawn Lipscomb posted 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Cresset, but Neuse Christian ran away with a 111-68 victory Friday night.
Triten Reese added 16 points for Cresset.
