DURHAM — Jordan needed a pair of doubles wins to claim a 5-4 victory over Roxboro Person in girls’ tennis action Tuesday.
Hope Allen and Jenny Shaw took an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles, then Genevieve Whitcomb and Taylor Phillips took an 8-0 victory in the third double flight to secure the match.

DURHAM — Ravenscroft’s Jessica Kittleberger posted the low round of the day, but Durham Academy claimed victory in girls’ golf Tuesday at Croasdaile Country Club.
Emma Kaplan (40), Elizabeth Hall (41) and Kit McHutchison (46) combined for a 127 for the Cavaliers (5-0), while the Ravens needed 139 strokes over the nine holes played. Kittleberger finished with a 37.
