PAC-6 4-A champion Riverside won its 26th straight match on Thursday in a grueling five-set contest at home against Cap Eight 4-A Conference champion Broughton (18-3) to reach the quarterfinals of the state 4-A playoffs. Also advancing Thursday were Chapel Hill, Cedar Ridge, Voyager Academy and South Granville. Eliminated were Roxboro Community School and Carrboro.
