Volleyball roundup: Chapel Hill, Jordan, Cedar Ridge, Voyager Academy

CHAPEL HILL – Catherine Romaine had eight kills, five blocks and seven digs as Chapel Hill swept Middle Creek 25-23, 25-16, 25-21 in volleyball on Monday.

Perry Ramsey had 12 kills and Katharine Esterley added eight kills for the Tigers, who improved to 16-7 overall and 9-2 in the Big Eight 3-A Conference.

Annie Linker had 20 assists, Madison Gunning had eight digs and Natalie Ragazzo had 17 service points in the win.

CARDINAL GIBBONS 3, JORDAN 0

RALEIGH – Rose Gunn had two kills, nine assists and five digs as Jordan fell to Cardinal Gibbons 25-10, 25-10, 25-11.

Margaret Gunn had four kills and six digs and Kristen Clay had 14 digs for the Falcons, who dropped to 7-16 overall and 3-4 in the PAC-6 Conference.

 CARRBORO 3, CEDAR RIDGE 1

CARRBORO – Asha Barnes had six kills and two blocks for Cedar Ridge, who dropped a 25-13, 22-25, 25-12, 25-21 match to host Carrboro.

Cass Michal recorded 15 assists for Cedar Ridge (18-6, 9-2).

 VOYAGER ACADEMY 3, FRANKLINTON 1

FRANKLINTON – Sydney Holland had 16 kills, 15 digs and five aces Voyager Academy beat host Franklinton 25-23, 25-14, 25-27, 25-23.

Megan Harris added 17 kills and eight digs and Hayley Schadt posted four kills and three aces for the Vikings (13-3, 8-1).
