Durham Academy's Hall is all-state after shooting 81

A score of 250 from Durham Academy's girls' golf team earned the school its second straight second-place finish in the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association Girls' Golf Championship at Pine Needles Lodge in Southern Pines on Monday.
Cannon School (Concord), with a 74 from Annie Collom, won for the third straight year, setting an event record with a score of 225.
Par was 71, and the 81 from Durham Academy junior Elizabeth Hall gave her a fifth-place finish out of 61 girls from 13 schools.
Hall’s top-10 finish earned her a spot on the all-state team.
Also scoring for Durham Academy was junior Kit McHutchison (83) and freshman Madi Dunk (86).

Durham Academy was undefeated during the regular season and won its second Triangle Independent Schools Athletic Conference title.
