WILMINGTON — East Chapel Hill lost just three games in singles on the way to a 9-0 sweep of Wilmington Ashley in the Port City Invitational girls’ tennis tournament Friday.
Rainie Heck led the way for the Wildcats (3-0) with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Brianna Rogers at No. 1 singles.

DURHAM — Olivia Li cruised through her top flight singles and doubles matches to lead Durham Academy to an 8-1 win over Jordan in girls’ tennis.
Li beat Hope Allen 6-3, 6-0 in singles, then teammed with Julia Tillman for an 8-1 win over Allen and Jenny Shaw in doubles.
Jordan’s Genieveve Whitcomb was the lone winner for the Falcons, posting a 6-3, 4-6, 10-6 victory over Ellis Toms at No. 5 singles.

Ellie McDonald’s posted a straight-set win in singles and teammed with Logan Ikenberry for a doubles victory to lead Carolina Friends School past Westchester Day School 8-1 in girls’ tennis.
McDonald beat Erica Sawyer 6-1, 6-1 in singles before taking an 8-6 win with Ikenberry in doubles.
