Commencement 2015: Carolina Friends School

Graduation at Carolina Friends (CFS), opened in the midst of 1964’s civil rights battles as an intentionally racially-integrated school and still rooted in Quaker values, is different by design. The 41 seniors were serenaded by the head of the Upper School, the head of the school, and their college counselor at their graduation rehearsal on Friday and processed into Saturday’s on-campus ceremony through a tunnel of applauding and high-fiving faculty and staff who’ve worked with these students as far back as their arrival at CFS as three-year-olds.
