I’m trying to figure out whether former Duke football player Desmond Scott actually was born or if he was chiseled from stone.

The guy is muscular like that.

And his whole focus will be motivating others to get in the best shape of their lives when he kicks off  “The Lifestyle Challenge” on Saturday at Merrick-Moore Elementary School, 2325 Cheek Rd. in Durham.

Scott will lead an outdoor exercise clinic from 9-10:15 a.m., followed by some meet-and-greet time over oranges and granola bars.

“Just have a good time out there,” Scott said.

Folks of all ages and fitness levels are welcome to the work out that will feature a live deejay to keep it moving — none of this prerecorded techno music.

The cost is $5. No need to register in advance or anything like that. Just show up dressed to sweat. Learn more when you email Scott at MDhealthyfitness@gmail.com or send a tweet to @followDleader33

Scott, who played ball at Hillside High School, lent his expertise to this story in The Herald-Sun: http://www.heraldsun.com/sports/highschools/orangecounty/carrborohigh/x2082474746/PREP-NOTEBOOK-Stature-on-field-cant-offset-Evans-stature-off-it
