We’re keeping up with the Class of 2018 early signing period for college basketball, which started Wednesday and runs through Nov. 15.
Here’s who has signed a National Letter of Intent to play at N.C. State and new coach Kevin Keatts:
Ian Steere
Steere, a 6-9, 230-pound power forward, who plays for Northwood Temple Academy in Fayetteville, is ranked No. 105 overall in the Class of 2018, according to 247sports’ composite rankings. He is also ranked the eighth best player in the state.
Steere committed to Creighton in July but decommitted in September.
Manny Bates
Bates, a 6-9, 195-pound power forward, who also plays for Northwood Temple Academy, is ranked No. 94 overall in the Class of 2018. He is ranked the seventh best player in the state.
Jericole Hellems
Hellems, a 6-6, 190-pound wing, is from Chaminade in St. Louis and is ranked No. 115 in the class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
Saddiq Bey
Bey, a 6-7, 195-pound small forward, is ranked No. 83 in the country, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
He plays for Sidwell Friends School, a private school in Washington D.C. As a junior, Bey averaged 14.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals per game.
