My AP Top 25 ballot: Stanford moves up, Baylor moves in

Sep. 22, 2013 @ 09:04 AM

Saturday was the most boring day of college football in recent memory. Only one game featured two ranked teams, and other than that game, no ranked team lost. Here are the two biggest changes I made:

At the top I flipped Stanford (who beat a ranked Arizona State team) and Georgia (who was tied midway through the third quarter with North Texas).

At the bottom I dropped Northern Illinois (who almost lost to FCS-level Eastern Illinois) and added Baylor. The Bears still haven’t played a BCS team, but their margin of victories, including a 70-7 win Saturday over a Louisiana-Monroe team that beat Wake Forest last week, is too impressive to ignore.

Like I said, nothing too exiting. Really, the less written about yesterday, the better. Fortunately next week should make up for it with Georgia-LSU, Ohio State-Wisconsin, Oklahoma-Notre Dame and more.
