NCCU tops UMES to stay alive in MEAC Tournament

N.C. Central took full advantage of five Maryland Eastern Shore errors Thursday morning in the 2014 MEAC Baseball Tournament  on the way to a 10-5 win to stay alive in the now single-elimination loser's bracket at Marty Miller Field. The Eagles meet Norfolk State in round 3 at 10 a.m. Friday.

NCCU boots 6-0 suspended game lead, falls to FAMU, No. 3 seed

 In a game that started on March 23, N.C. Central could not hang on to a 6-0 lead over Florida A&M as the Rattlers climbed all the way back thanks to Bennie Robinson’s RBI double in the bottom of the eighth to take down the Eagles 9-8 on Saturday afternoon at Moore-Kittles Field in Tallahassee, Fla.

N.C. Central senior J.T. Thomas sank a 15-foot eagle putt on the 18th hole to post a 3-under-par 69 for a tie atop the individual leaderboard after Friday’s first round of the MEAC Golf Championship at Crosswinds Golf Club.
