Rashard Lee is a former Hillside basketball player with professional playing experience and has spent recent seasons as an assistant coach with the very successful Chapel Hill Tigers. But that wasn't good enough to make the cut as the boys' basketball coach at Hillside.

NCCU tops UMES to stay alive in MEAC Tournament

N.C. Central took full advantage of five Maryland Eastern Shore errors Thursday morning in the 2014 MEAC Baseball Tournament  on the way to a 10-5 win to stay alive in the now single-elimination loser's bracket at Marty Miller Field. The Eagles meet Norfolk State in round 3 at 10 a.m. Friday.
