Yasamin Sanii (left), a junior on the UNC-Chapel Hill Dance Team, teaches a group of students and administrators the choreography to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" in the Pit on campus Friday. The dance session was promoting the Eve Carson Scholarship, which was established to remember former Student Body President Eve Carson, who was murdered in 2008. The scholarship is awarded to two juniors every school year who demonstrate academic matriculation, personal development, leadership and service since arriving at Carolina. UNC junior Ioan Bolohan, the Eve Carson Scholarship campus development director, said one of Carson's favorite holidays was Halloween, and she loved getting dressed up to celebrate. "It definitely has a big name on campus," Bolohan said of raising awareness about the scholarship. He stood on the sidelines Friday, watching people gather to snap photos of the "Thriller" group. "The crowd was huge, and it's just really exciting to see people come out in the colder weather."
