jmccann@heraldsun.com; 419-6601
DURHAM-- Jurors in the Thaddius R. Wright retrial heard from one of the officers involved in a high-speed chase in pursuit of a Wright and two other men.
Durham police investigator Richard Schaub from the witness stand pointed out Wright as one of the men who had a role in a chase that lasted an hour.
Defense lawyer Woodrena Baker-Harrell asked Schaub if Wright was driving the car. The officer said no.
Durham police detective Dominic Mussatti told jurors Wright resisted officers who were trying to get him out of the car after it crashed into another vehicle at North Roxboro and Denfield streets. Wright had to be pulled out of the car by officers at the crash site, Mussatti said.
