Man charged with felony

DURHAM -- Police charged Steven Darrell Airline with felony breaking and entering Friday for a crime May 24 in the 1700 block of Delaware Avenue, according to James P. Carnevale of the Durham Police Department's criminal investigations unit at District 2.

Carnevale said the arrest followed a tip police got after they recovered a firearm reportedly stolen in Oxford Manor public housing.

Airline was already in the Durham County Jail under a bond of $1 million following his arrest Oct. 17 on charges of possession of a firearm, robbery with a dangerous weapon, second-degree trespass, misdemeanor larceny, assault on a female, breaking or entering a motor vehicle and obtaining property by false pretense.

After Friday's charge, his bond was increased to $1,010,000.

He remained in the Durham County Jail Monday.

Teen faces drug charges

DURHAM -- Elnora Y. Ferrell, 18, of Alabama Avenue was arrested Friday and charged with possession of crack cocaine and marijuana with intent to sell or deliver it.

Ferrell was released from the Durham County Jail Friday after posting a $5,000 bond.

Man faces several charges

DURHAM -- Alonzo Blakemore, 43, of Mayfair Street was arrested Wednesday and charged with breaking or entering, assault on a female and interfering with emergency communications.

He was released from the Durham County Jail Thursday after posting a $3,000 bond.

Fayetteville woman charged

DURHAM -- Yvette Charisse Young McLean, 49, of Fayetteville was arrested by Durham police Wednesday and charged with breaking or entering.

McLean was released from the Durham County Jail Wednesday after posting a $3,000 bond.
