Last week, we asked readers of our website at heraldsun.com whether the Durham City Council should cut funding for a gang-reduction program that puts extra police in Durham Public Schools so that money can go to domestic violence court and other police priorities. Here’s where their loyalties lie:

  • Don’t cut gang-reduction funds at all. Take the money from something else. 68 percent.
  • Cut half the money from gang-reduction efforts. 23 percent.
  • Remove all funding for gang-reduction. 9 percent.
