Xenophobia from the left

How did President Obama know that conservative groups like Americans for Prosperity were getting money from foreign sources?  Obama made the accusation several times, calling them "shadowy front groups".  It was during this time in 2010 that the I.R.S. intensified its systematic harassment  of these same conservative groups.

Obama never was asked to prove his allegations of foreign money, he only had to make them.  No one in the press bothered to ask "Which foreign country?" or "Foreign money for which conservative cause?"  Did Germany want to support the Tea Party to promote the Second Amendment?  Did China want to help a pro-life group?  Did Sweden want to funnel money to a traditional marriage group?

For the past 40 years the political science departments of our universities have taught us that politicians who try to exploit the innate xenophobia of the American people are the worst sort of demagogues.  But they said it would come from the right.  Obama proved them wrong.

They came for me…

On May 21, I submitted a letter concerning the abuse of power by the current administration. I asked pointed questions and stated facts to bolster my argument.

I should have the right to respond now that I have been called Chicken Little, a racist and a liar for asking those questions.

Today’s executive branch has shown a complete disdain for this country’s laws and our Constitution. They have trampled all over our constitutional rights and show no signs of stopping. They are supposed to enforce laws, not break them.

We have Fast and Furious, Benghazi, the IRS targeting conservatives, the Justice Department monitoring AP communications, direct targeting of Fox News reporters, NSA monitoring of American citizens emails and phone calls, drones with the capability of targeting American citizens and just this week news of egregious abuses within the State Department. I know I’ve left something out because new crimes emerge daily.

We know for a fact that the IRS targeted individuals and groups who oppose this regime and the IRS will be administering ObamaCare. Is it too much of a stretch to think that life or death healthcare decisions will be made based on our political beliefs?

For all of the liberals out there who think all of this is justified I refer you to the famous quote by Martin Niemöller, admittedly altered to make my point: They came for the conservatives, and I did not speak out because I was not a conservative...then they came for me.
