Reuben Bell
DURHAM - Funeral services for Mr. Reuben Bell, 54, of 4103 Omer Lane, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 17, 2013 at First Calvary Baptist Church, 1311 Morehead Avenue. Survivors include his wife, Gisele Bell; mother, Lillie M. Wiggins (Linwood); father, Colatties Daniel (Emma); daughters, Latoya Woodward (Bryan), Lakeshia Bell, and Erin L. Berry; his son, Jonathan E. Berry; four grandchildren, Christian Estes, Bry’anna Woodward, Bryan Wade Woodward, and Ashton Bell; sister, Jackie Daniel; brothers, Christopher Wiggins and Colatties Demetric Daniel; mother-in-law, Ethel S. Bounsell; father-in-law, John H. Bounsell; sister-in-law, Geena D. Young and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Reuben will be joining his grandparents, Alta and AJ Bell; and sister, Tonya Daniel, in heaven.


Weldon “Ray” Crabtree
DURHAM - Weldon “Ray” Crabtree, age 65, died Tuesday, October 15, 2013. A Durham native, Ray was born to the late Earsey W. and Helen Hendren Crabtree on December 30, 1947. He was employed by Duke Hospital before his retirement several years ago.
Ray is survived by his two sons, Justin Crabtree and wife, Ashley, of Bahama, NC, Eric Crabtree of Hillsborough, NC; and one granddaughter, Hailey Crabtree.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 19, from the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service in Durham. Burial will follow in Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Friends may visit one hour prior to the service on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. in the funeral home.

Lorena Roberts Green
DURHAM - Lorena Roberts Green, 91, of Durham, died on Wednesday, October 16, 2013.
Mrs. Green was a native and lifelong resident of Durham. She was a homemaker and a member of Parkview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Green.
She is survived by her son, Randy Harris (Kaye) of San Antonio, Tex.; step-daughter, Becky Olbrych (Tom) of Durham; grandchildren, Ryan Harris of San Antonio, Tex., Mendy Page, Jodie Coates, both of Durham; one brother, Elbert Ellis; and two sisters, Helen Ellis and Thelma Thompson.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in the Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Rev. Al Sholar will officiate.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Becky Olbrych, 2916 Snowhill Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to a charity of choice. Online condolences may be made at

Purcell Suitt
DURHAM — Mr. Purcell Suitt, 70 of 1019 Buchanan Blvd., Durham, NC, passed on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Duke Regional Hospital, Durham, NC.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Word of Faith, 1609 Camden Ave., Durham, NC. The wake will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the church with the funeral beginning at 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery on HWY 15-501 in Chapel Hill, NC.

Josephine Kimsey Agner
OWENSBORO, KY - Jo Agner, 83 of Owensboro, died Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at her home. She was born in High Point, NC on March 16, 1930 to the late Paul and Lucille Kimsey. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Jennings Agner, on January 17, 2002.
Survivors include three sons, Kim of Owensboro, Michael of Jacksonville, FL and Rodney of Canton, GA; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, and her brother, Purcell Kimsey of Highpoint, NC.
Jo graduated from Wake Forest University and was full of life. She always lit up a room with her smile, laughter, and southern charm. She enjoyed First Baptist and especially loved the Happy Hearts class. She looked forward to playing bridge with friends and attending her exercise class at Owensboro Christian Church. Jo cherished the time spent with her loving family. While teaching she touched and changed many lives but even after she retired she continued to make a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
Services will be on Monday, October 21st at 10:30 a.m. A private entombment will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 on Sunday, October 20th at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory.
