DURHAM - Mr. Walter Evans, 78, of 520 Reynolds Ave., died Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at Hock Family Pavilion. His service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2013, at Aulander First Baptist Church, 835 S. Commerce St., Aulander, NC 27805. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 8, from 5-6 p.m. at White Rock Baptist Church, 3400 Fayetteville St., and again on Monday from 12-12:30 p.m. one-half hour prior to the service at Aulander First Baptist Church.
Mr. Evans is survived by his wife, Mrs. Betty T. Evans; two children, Paula Stevens-Lassiter and Ryan Evans, Sr.; and one sister, Rosa Lee Evans.

Patrick Daniel Holmes
DURHAM - Patrick Daniel Holmes, 24, departed his life on December 2, 2013. He is survived by his mother, Patsy Merritt; his father, Michael Holmes; daughter, Zamyra Holmes. Patrick is also survived by grandparents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing will be held at Holloway Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday at 1 p.m. Funeral services held at First Calvary Baptist Church Monday at 12 noon.

Mary Frances Wilson Inscoe
DURHAM - Mrs. Mary Frances Wilson Inscoe, 91, died Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at Pettigrew Rehab Center. Mrs. Inscoe was born in Durham County, the daughter of the late Hubert Leroy Wilson and the late Betty Stallings Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Bryant Inscoe, and a grandchild, April S. Henderson and husband, David. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and the Cokesbury Sunday School Class.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m., Monday, at St. Paul United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Stephens officiating. The body will lie in state one hour at the church prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in the Maplewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clements Funeral Home in Durham.
Mrs. Inscoe is survived by a son, Donald Joseph Inscoe and wife, Nellie; daughter, Ellen Elizabeth Inscoe; brother, Hubert Leroy Wilson, Jr. and wife, Nancy; sister, Ann W. Williams and husband, Lloyd; granddaughter, Jennifer Velasquez; and two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Jessica Velasquez.

DURHAM — Ella P. McKay, 72, went home to be with the Lord on December 4, 2013, at Duke University Hospital surrounded by her family. Homegoing services will be conducted at 12 noon on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church at 2200 South Alston Avenue, Durham, NC 27707. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until 12 noon.
Survivors include her children, Robert A. Worsley, Michelle M. Wright (Kip), Marvella M. Scott, Toshamalla McCloud (Bruce); five grandchildren, Denise Scott, Jasmin McCloud, Kayla McCloud, Kolbi Wright, Christian Wright; one brother, Curtis Al-khaaliq; four sisters, Evelyn Thomas, Jean Thomas-Banks, June Edmonds, Anne J. Williams.
Services are entrusted to Scarborough and Hargett Memorial Chapel and Gardens.

DURHAM — Memorial services for Mr. Joseph Earl Newborn will be conducted on Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Trueway Holy Church. Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Beverly P. Tiffany Lorraine Perry-Riou
DURHAM - Funeral services for Mrs. Tiffany Lorraine Perry-Riou, 38, Durham, N.C., will be conducted on Friday at 1 p.m. from the Antioch Baptist Church and the interment will follow in the Beechwood Cemetery. The family will meet with their friends 1 hour before the funeral service. Survivors are 4 sons, Mr. Cameron Riou, Mr. Jordan Riou, Mr. Jhalin Riou, Mr. Justin Lawrence; 1 daughter, Miss Aniyah Lawrence; and a host of aunties, uncles and other relatives and friends.
Patricia Diann Shepherd Terry
BUTNER — Patricia Diann Shepherd Terry, 64, of Butner died on Saturday, November 30, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Needham Shepherd and Peggy Godwin Shepherd. She graduated from Southern High School, retired from Dealers Supply as a Customer Service Rep and was a former member of Bethesda Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raiford Earl Terry and her daughter Ashley Ann Terry.
She is survived by her son, Robert Terry of Butner; one brother Gary Shepherd (Evonne) of Oxford; two sisters, Becky Fragnito (Richard) of Raleigh; Vickie Harris (Robert) of Hillsborough; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Brock Myer will officiate.

Clarence Edward Alexander
ZEBULON - Clarence Edward Alexander, 87, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, at his home. He was born on September 20, 1926, in Raleigh, N.C., and was the son of the late Joseph and LaRue Poole Alexander. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Vivian Morris and Lucille Wells, and brothers, Joseph, Phil, Thurman & Willard Alexander. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Savon Johnson Alexander; brother, Jimmy Alexander; and many nieces & nephews. A memorial service will be held at Faith Bible Fellowship Church on Hwy. 401 South in Raleigh on Sunday, December 8, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends after the service.
