Damian Tre'Juan Davis
MEBANE — Damian Tre'Juan Davis, age 3, of 6117 NC 49 North, Mebane, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A native of Orange County, he was the son of Tabatha Krystine Boteler and Kenneth Wayne Davis.
Survivors include his parents of the home; sister, Dezerai Davis of the home; maternal grandparents, Daniel and Carol Straughan; paternal grandparents, Wanda and Ronnie Hart; maternal great-grandparents, Rodney and Paula Justice; paternal great-grandmother, Alice Gilbert; maternal great-great-grandmother, Mary Jane Justice; uncles, Danny Straughan and Daniel Davis.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, August 25, 2014 at Mt. Zion Christian Church by Rev. Rick Webster, pastor. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Christian Church Cemetery.
Damian will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory until being taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 4-6 pm on Sunday. At other times the family will be at the residence.

Mozelle C. Cearnal
HILLSBOROUGH — Mozelle C. Cearnal, 94, born Sept. 26, 1919 to the late David and Lillian Bradsher Poole, died Monday, August 18, 2014 at home.
The funeral will be conducted 2:00 PM, Saturday, in Paynes Chapel AME Church with family visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial in the church cemetery.
Surviving are sons, Alvin Cearnal (Pathrina) of Macon, GA and John E. Cearnal of Hillsborough, NC; daughter, Gloria Townsend (Milton) of Hillsborough, NC; 3 grandchildren and step-daughter, Addie Cearnal Long of Mebane, NC.

John Dwane Dover
PHOENIX — John Dwane Dover, 58, of Phoenix, AZ, died on August 12, 2014, of multi-organ failure at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix.
Dwane was born on August 9, 1956 in Durham, NC to Margaret and the late Hugh C. Dover. Dwane graduated from Durham High School, where he excelled in music, playing percussion for the band. He was a member of Watts Street Baptist Church, where he married Elizabeth Bryan on May 26, 1979. They had two daughters, Emily Bryan and Anna Elizabeth.
For the past 12 years Dwane lived in Phoenix where he worked for the city as an Electrical Plans Examiner. Dwane studied electricity for a number of years and had earned many achievement certifications. Dwane greatly enjoyed hiking the mountains and canyons in Arizona.
Dwane is survived by his mother, Margaret Dover Gregory; his daughters, Emily Dover Gordon and Anna Dover; his brother, Bruce, who was by his side at his passing; his sister, Chyrl Dover Martin; and ex-wife, Libus Bryan Dover.
His body was cremated and his remains will be spread at Hanging Rock State Park. There will be a memorial service for Dwane at New Hope Church of the Nazarene, 3603 NC 86 South in Hillsborough, NC on Saturday, August 30 at 2pm.

Donald Burch Hopson
RANDLEMAN — Donald Burch Hopson, age 76, of Randleman, formerly of Hillsborough, died Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation, Asheboro.
Mr. Hopson was born April 8, 1938 the son of Paul and Lola Baker Hopson. Mr. Hopson was a native of Hillsborough and served in the US Army. Donald was a former Boy Scout Leader and worked with United Way in Hillsborough. He retired from Cone Mills in Greensboro, then became a self-employed general contractor. In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his brother, Shelton Hopson, and half-sister, Opal Neems.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Dixon Hopson of Randleman; daughter, Dawn Smith of Randleman; son, Greg Hopson and his wife Tina of Randleman; grandchildren, Whitney Brewington, Shelby Smith, Garrett and Sarah Hopson; great-grandchild, Jackson Brewington.
The family will receive friends Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC.
